Kaffi på Hjul started in 2023 as a small pop-up coffee bar, with a simple intention: to bring specialty coffee back to our hometown of Grimstad. We moved through the city in an old Vespa Ape 50, setting up in different locations and creating small, temporary spaces where people naturally gathered around coffee.

Over two summers, it grew into more than a mobile setup. Kaffi på Hjul became a meeting point in the city—less about coffee alone, and more about the everyday pauses that form when people cross paths. Along the way, small communities started to form around it: running clubs, cuppings, swim clubs, and informal gatherings that emerged quite naturally over time.

In the summer of 2025, we opened our first physical space. It marked a shift, but the essence stayed the same—focused on creating simple, accessible meeting places rooted in coffee and community.

In 2024, Kaffi på Hjul was named Young Inspiration of the Year at the HER Awards.
